I'm Karanne Jansen, born and raised in Scotland. My journey of self-discovery led me to Amsterdam in 2001 after graduating with a combined studies and business degree, which laid the foundation for my career. I worked for 22 years in education at The International School of Amsterdam, where I witnessed the challenges and opportunities faced by families in the city.
Eventually, I became the proud owner of a Bed & Breakfast in the city center, requiring strict organizational skills and maintaining high standards for my guests. I live here with my Dutch husband, our two teenage children, and our Hungarian Vizsla. I find joy in providing a welcoming home for travellers and new residents alike.
As a working mother in Amsterdam, I've learned how to balance family life and built a trusted network within the community. I hope we can connect and make your settling-in process easier.
